Thanks for the link to the fat intake calculator. I couldn't tell what assumptions underlie the calculator. Humans can be healthy over a wide range of fat intakes, from 10 to 50% (or more?)of total calories. More important is probably the quality of fats ingested, i.e., saturated, monounsaturated, omega-3s, etc. There's no justification for the low-fat diet recommendations made to the general public by various authorities between 1970 and 2000.-Steve
