Bridget Eileen: Bio

Bridget Eileen is a poet, pagan, and political organizer who lives in Rhode Island. She grew up in the Boston area. She has a Bachelor of Science in English Education with minors in Music and Women's Studies, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing with a concentration in Poetry. She received her undergraduate and graduate degrees in the great state of Maine, at Orono and Stonecoast, respectively. She is a poet; she does communications work; she is an artistic director for the long-standing poetry festival, the Boston Poetry Marathon, and she writes two blogs: Vintage Bridge @AnArtsNotebook and Vintage Bridge Style: a Cottagecore and GlamWitch Style Blog.

Her online arts and culture blog, "Vintage Bridge @AnArtsNotebook" is available at, where she writes about many topics, including the arts, food, nature, travel, organization, paganism, politics and literature.

Her style blog, Vintage Bridge Style, is a cottagecore and glamwitch style blog with an age and body positive mission to provide people with inspiring ideas for Plus-Size Vintage GlamWitch and Cottagecore Fashion and Style on a bohemian budget.

She is an artistic director for the long-standing Boston-area poetry festival, the Boston Poetry Marathon. She's done poetry readings in Boston (Eastie and JP), Brooklyn, Albany, Cambridge, Gloucester, Maine, Manhattan, and New Orleans, as well as online readings at Boston Architectural College and 1000 Poets for Change.

Bridget Eileen is the Secretary and Communications Chair for the Rhode Island Democratic Women's Caucus. She's worked on copy editing and copywriting as a merchandising assistant for an online retailer. She taught journalism and was the faculty advisor for a high school newspaper in Maine. She has been main editor and writer for educational newsletters--and has worked on other types of communications projects--at multiple academic institutions in New England.

Bridget runs the Boston Austen Book Club, a book club that meets once a season to discuss the works of Jane Austen, works inspired by Jane Austen, or writing on Austen's books and life. She is also the founder and regional coordinator for the forthcoming JASNA-RI chapter (Jane Austen Society of North America - Rhode Island). 

Bridget Eileen is a non-denominational ordained minister through Universal Ministries and is available to officiate weddings for couples who are seeking an officiant for either non-denominational/spiritual, a-religious, or neo-pagan wedding ceremonies.

She has served in multiple roles in the performing arts: as a singer in solo performances and several choirs, a trombonist in classical and jazz bands, an actor in plays, a theatre director for high schools, and as a front-of-house volunteer for the Boston-area burlesque organizations, Rogue Burlesque and Alternatease.

Her social and biological nieces and nephews call her Auntie Boo-Boo and that's awesome. Her role model in life is Maude, of Harold and Maude.
